Employees raise over $3900 to support local community center.

To close out the 2024 holiday season, Diamond Drugs, Inc. presented a check for over $3900 to the Chevy Chase Community Center of Indiana, PA. Employees raised this money during the annual Week of Season's Greeting celebration through a basket raffle, grocery cart raffle, and personal contributions. As a further gift from the employees, the donation was made in the name of Diamond co-founder/Board of Directors Secretary Joan Zilner and President/CEO Mark Zilner.

Founded in 1969, the Chevy Chase Community Center's mission is to "empower the disadvantaged population of Indiana County and the surrounding rural communities with love, nutrition, education, involvement, and to provide a forum for community action, improvement and development."

Diamond's donation will help the Center to combat local food insecurity through daily community lunches, emergency food boxes, and the Meals 2 You program, among other initiatives.

Adam Campbell of Diamond's Marketing Team visited the Chevy Chase Center on December 30 to present the check to Jenny Rairigh, Executive Director.

"We were absolutely blown away and so grateful," said Rairigh of Diamond's donation. "We really appreciate when support comes from the community and we know that the help we’re getting is going to stay here in Indiana County and help the residents right here who are in need.

That is going to go a long way in helping a lot of people."
